Our Process

Fine art printing is at the core of what we do and what makes us spectacularly unique from all the other album companies. All of our print work is done via the giclee process which draws on 11 inks to create the richest colors and details. Paired with our acid-free, cotton rag paper, this style of printing is renowned for its color and clarity and sought after by the most discerning artists. Our prints are acid-free and coated to ensure maximum durability and our inks are rated for colorfastness exceeding 100 years.

All of our albums boast these heavy weighted archival cotton prints with vellum interleaving, so that essentially, every page of the album is a fine art print in itself. More time is spent looking at and turning every page as viewers absorb each image.

Our conservation binding techniques are also rooted in traditional book binding craft. Our signature album features a lay flat design, hand-sewn, minimal gutters and simple and clean covers to protect strong and impactful printed pages. All of our materials are completely archival and we use only the highest quality book binding tools. Every product is artisan made from beginning to end, whether it is a classic style or a new invention. With our modern designs and traditional binding techniques, Heirloom Bindery has changed how the world sees wedding albums.
